The lowest-priced refurbished IBM desktop computer typically goes for under $180. The IBM Personal Computing Division was aquired by Lenovo in May 2005. You may remember the IBM ThinkCentre model. Those are still available but only on a refurbished desktop basis. The ThinkCentre model name does continue on today's new desktop market, but it has the Lenovo name attached to it instead of IBM. Refurbished IBM desktop computer deals can still be had in both the ThinkCentre and NetVista series of desktops. Refurbsihed IBM desktop computers are geared toward consumers with basic desktop computing needs such as surfing the internet, receiving and sending email, listening to and burning CDs, watching DVDs, and downloading or saving a reasonable amount of files. The technical specifications of refurbished ThinkCentre and NetVista desktops usually include an Intel Pentium 4 processor, 256 MB to 512 MB system memory, 40 GB hard drive capacity, CD-ROM or CD-RW/DVD combe drive, and Windows XP Professional operating system.
